Nuna has 3 car seats that seem the same but are actually different.   We’re here today to explain to you exactly what they are and their similarities and differences.

The 3 car seats are the Nuna Pipa, Nuna Pipa Lite and the Nuna Pipa Lite LX.

Although they all have the PIPA in them they are actually 3 different seats.

The Pipa is the original Nuna car seat weighing in at 7.9 lbs.   Its sleekly styled and revolutionary dream drape™ creates a shelter that harbors baby from the elements, making it a must have safe haven. On its own or paired with the PEPP™, TAVO™, MIXX™, IVVI™, or DEMI™ the Nuna PIPA makes on-the-go be oh-so-easy.

Then came the Pipa Lite car seat which is actually the Lightest infant car seat in the USA. (maybe in the world though not sure on that!).   The Pipa Lite weighs in at just 5.3 lbs. The pipa lite although super light can NOT be installed without a base so for any mom that likes an option to go without a base using the car seat belt the Pipa Lite wouldn’t work.  

The Pipa Lite LX is a more luxurious version of the Pipa Lite.   It has an extendable canopy that takes away the need for a infant car seat cover . This is known as the Dream Drape. Its made from Merino wool and TENCEL™* lyocell fiber blend, and no added fire retardant chemicals. The Pipa Lite LX does weigh about .5 lb more than then pipa lite due to the addition of the dream drape canopy.
