What's New on the Doona X?
A Near-Flat Recline
This is easily the biggest improvement.
Unlike the original Doona, the Doona X offers a near-flat recline when used in stroller mode. That means your baby can rest in a much more natural position during walks, making longer outings significantly more comfortable.
For parents who use their Doona every day, this is one of the most meaningful upgrades.
Three Comfortable Stroller Positions
Instead of a single fixed position, the Doona X offers:
- Sit
- Relax
- Lean Back
These multiple positions make the stroller much more versatile as your baby grows and spends more time awake—or asleep—on the go.
Better Fit for Taller Parents
One common complaint about the original Doona was the handle height.
The Doona X raises the handle by up to two inches, making it much more comfortable for taller parents and caregivers without changing the stroller's compact footprint.
Easier Harness Adjustments
Growing babies need frequent harness adjustments.
The Doona X introduces a no-rethread, five-position harness, allowing parents to adjust the harness height in seconds—no uninstalling or rethreading required.
It also includes convenient strap holders that keep the harness out of the way while placing your baby into the seat.
Improved Canopy and Ventilation
The canopy has been completely redesigned with:
- Extended sun coverage
- Zip-off extension
- Built-in mesh ventilation window
These updates help improve airflow while giving parents a better view of their baby during walks.
A More Advanced Safety Base
The Doona X includes an all-new base featuring:
- Rigid LATCH connectors
- Load leg for additional crash protection
- Built-in level indicator
- Tension lock-off
- Two-step carrier release
It also meets the newest FMVSS 213a side-impact safety standard, offering parents additional peace of mind.
Smoother Ride
Doona redesigned the wheels with everyday use in mind.
New features include:
- Improved suspension
- Shock absorbers
- Softer wheel deployment
- Easier wheel removal for cleaning
- Single-step brake
The result is a noticeably smoother ride over sidewalks, pavement, and uneven city streets.
Smarter Accessories
New optional accessories include:
- Backpack-style storage basket
- Summer canopy with additional ventilation
These additions make the Doona X more practical for daily use without sacrificing its compact design.
When Will the Doona X Be Available?
